Claude Welch, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science, was interviewed on WBFO-FM about the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela, who died Thursday at the age of 95. Welch called Mandela a “nation creator” and said his message was that you can fight for freedom by peaceful protest. Welch also was interviewed on WIVB-TV, WKBW-TV, YNN and WBEN-AM.
